Stephen Gardner has been doing quality control for audiobooks since 2016, but he has a lifelong love of reading and a passion for great storytelling. He founded Afterword Audio in 2023 so that he could devote his time to helping others tell their stories.  

Afterword Audio now and forever will be a place where everyone has a seat at the table.  We firmly believe that representation matters and that stories should be both windows and mirrors for their readers. We can’t paint the human experience without a full palette of diverse voices.

When he’s not reading, you can generally find Stephen in the studio writing plays and comedy sketches, cuddled up with the cat watching sports, or working on his super-secret upcoming animated TV show.
